As an experienced meditator of nearly 30 years and having been trained with the British Mindfulness Academy, I will invite you into an embodied mindful presence as part of your psychotherapy/counselling or supervision.

WHAT IS MINDFULNESS?

Mindfulness is a scientifically-proven technique for managing your thought processes. It is not complicated. It's your mind's natural resting place. The skills of mindfulness enable you to begin to choose where and on what you focus your attention. It's a way to come back to your calm and empowered state.

In our busy stress-filled, action-orientated lives our minds speed up to keep apace with the pressure that we put ourselves under. We can often end the day feeling exhausted, depleted in energy, frustrated at not achieving more and self critical for not being on top of all our tasks. And there never appears to be a quiet, calm time for us to wind down and recharge.

With practice, it enables us to show up more fully in our lives and to live as if it really mattered, in the only moment that we ever get, which is this one - and that we are worthy of inhabiting our life in this way and capable of it.

WHAT MINDFULNESS IS NOT

Mindfulness is not a religion. It is not a philosophy or lifestyle. It is simply a tool, one that is accessible to people of all ages, cultures, religions and those who are not religious.



REGULAR MINDFULNESS MEDITATION GROUPS

WEEKLY MINDFULNESS MEDITATION GROUP ONLINE MONDAYS 10.30-11.45AM

This weekly group is offered as a means of regularly practicing mindfulness meditation and sharing your experiences of your practice with others. It offers support at a time that is emotionally stressful for many. It is appropriate for those with previous mindfulness experience who want to refresh or maintain their practice or for complete beginners. You are welcome to come along to the first session and try it as a taster free of charge. No experience of mindfulness practice is necessary.

MINDFULNESS DAY WORKSHOPS

Mindfulness Skills, Mindful Compassion for Others, Mindful Self-Compassion and Deepening Mindful Self-Compassion

MINDFULNESS SKILLS
This is suitable for anyone who is new to mindfulness or who wants a refresher.

MINDFUL COMPASSION FOR OTHERS

This workshop focuses on developing compassion for others and explores the factors that prevent us from feeling compassion.

MINDFUL SELF-COMPASSION AND DEEPENING MINDFUL SELF-COMPASSION

These two workshops stand alone. Mindful Self-Compassion introduces you to self-compassion as a daily practice and offers meditations to support this. Deepening Mindful Self-Compassion goes further with developing this aspect of mindfulness.

Timings: 10.30am - 3.30pm
Cost: £58 each. Payment in full secures your place. 8 places available.

MINDFULNESS COURSES

MINDFUL COMPASSION AND SELF-COMPASSION

This course will provide a focus on compassion, self-compassion, loving-kindness, positive psychology, gratitude and forgiveness.

MINDFULNESS SKILLS

This course covers the fundamental mindfulness skills and practices. It also offers an overview of how the brain works and why you tend to think negatively; how to begin to change these habitual thought patterns and develop a more positive world view.

Duration: 8 weeks for 2 hours per week
Dates: I hope to be able to offer these courses in 2022 (lock-down restrictions permitting). 6 places available.
Cost: £275. £100 deposit secures your place. Instalments can be negotiated.
